What It Takes For Me to Sleep

Eyedrops
Universal symbol of twin moms everywhere
Golden snail - was Bruce's mother's - very precious
Eye mask - since blackout curtains still have plenty of leaks around the edges
Earplugs - my life got a LOT better the day I finally took to using these, especially towards morning. (Bathroom is directly overhead).
Journal for recording twin development
Ionic air cleaner - this has since been thrown out since we read it was a bad thing
Baby photos of twins
Aromatherapy oils
Bunny knob
GIGANTIC leaf found in NJ many years ago
$8 Radio Shack pillow speaker - for playing relaxing music via ipod to help me sleep or that hypnotherapy session about insomnia that didn't really work
Not shown: sleeping pills
In here: none of your beeswax. (Actually, it's mostly saved letters)
Remote for boombox - I do NOT believe in having TVs in bedrooms, ever
Pens for marking interesting things in books. A habit picked up as an English major in college. Not that I have time to read much anymore
Also not shown: Breathe Right nasal strips, since only one of my nostrils ever stays somewhat unclogged
<-- Not shown: expensive pillow (almost time for another one), heating pad
Below: socks. I cannot sleep if my feet are the slightest bit cold

So I am not exactly a "crash on the couch for the night" type of gal.

Thank gawwd I'm not the only one. I've never gotten used to an eye mask but I cover my eyes with my blankies while not covering my mouth; tricky stuff. Instead of a journal I have a book........ANY book. It's a must have for the sleeping ritual. TV not good, book good.

I agree these what you say about erplugs. I sleep more deeply and better with earplugs. Eyemask is also good. You wear those also every night?

Angela Henderson wrote...
Pretty much.

Are you using plugs and mask long time? I am using about five years, and can't sleep without earplugs nowadays. =P
