Yay!
I won first prize for the "people" category this year in the New Times photography contest. Here is the winning shot. The awards ceremony was this evening and I’m glad it was short, because one of the twins whined and fussed the whole time. (Thus the shot from waaaay in the back, away from the crowd). Indeed said twin was in such a bad mood that I wasn’t able to stay to pick up my award. Maybe tomorrow. If I recall it was just about the same situation last year…
I also finally got published in JPG Magazine. It’s kind of a stupid photo and I wish I had remembered to crop it like I did for the Flickr version, but whatever, I got published in JPG so now I can die. Wheeee!
Been a good month so far :)

You are off to a great start on your photographic career. Now you just need to get some professional gear. Let's see you'll need a good light meter, a professional Canon camera (not the Rebel, go up a notch) and a tripod. I'll keep my eye out for some killer slightly used stuff. Keep up the great work we're proud of you.
