For the Garden State group I created. Replaced because the original had problems, including my habit of only uploading tiny sizes when I first joined Flickr.

shattered. bereft. disconsolate. dysfunctional. So beautifully rendered here in a place where those adjectives must have applied in personal contexts.
A shot to be thrown down when someone doubts that a picture is worth a thousand words.

Wow. Just came across your photostream. This image is deeply resonant. It gives a deep sense for all the suffering that might have happened in this room. Well played.

those chairs are for people who come there to do drugs..... you need a place to sit as you slowly get high... I guess...

This was taken quite a while ago...the summer of '02, I think. Unfortunately I have no way of checking back (though I wish I could) since I actually live in California.

Which part of Greystone is that? All our exploration has been in the out buildings by the chapel, across from the Police station. We have yet to be able to get into the main building

Love the moodiness and contrast of the obsolete with the functional. I can practically hear the screams of terror that must haunt the place.

Love the texture. Between the earthquakes and developers we don't have as much of this out west.

Great shot. I love old abandoned buildings. And no matter where you find one, there's always a new plastic chair inside.
