Musical Mystery

Several months ago while I was in Goodwill I noticed an interesting song playing over the radio. I thought it sounded pretty nifty, but figured since I had no tape recorder with me there would be no way I’d ever be able to figure out who it was. It wasn’t until the last ten seconds or so that it occurred to me that my camera has a microphone (duh). All I remember was that it was a guy singing, the lyrics were kind of amusing, and I seem to remember California being mentioned (but I’m not sure). So! For all you music buffs out there, particularly those that still have 60s memories intact, I ask–who did this song?

Sorry, eight seconds is all I got.

Holy shit Nathan, you nailed it. You are awesome.

Hear for yourself, y’all.

By the way, all my good left-leaning friends need to check out Nathan’s radio show “Weekly Signals” at weeklysignals.com. I’m addicted to his podcast.
