Okay! Comments seem to be working again. They still get thrown in moderation a lot but at least I get them, and they will get posted.

My (newly single!) sister is coming with her kiddos for a week pretty soon so posts will probably be sparse(r). My mother and I intend on showing her that just because real estate and everything in California costs three times as much as anything everywhere else, it is SO WORTH it. At least that’s what I keep telling myself every time I look at our credit card statements. And earthquakes aren’t so bad–they’re actually kind of fun! Plus she and her kids will also get real Mexican food. They’ll never want to leave. I’m sure she’ll start packing a U-Haul as soon as she gets home. (Have I mentioned she’s single?).
