Selling Out

Silly me. I plum forgot to mention a new feature around here, the SLOlane shop. I created this with two goals in mind: an area to have all the stuff I think is really great in one place, and a way to make the occasional change for a cup of tea (I keep my expectations low, yo).

There are several different sections:

The reading and CDs section.
The pregnancy and baby section which has some subsections like twin books, baby equipment, maternity, and nursing.
There’s also a toddler twins toys (say that three times real fast) section, something I made to help other parents figure out ways to keep two little kids occupied instead of letting them destroying the house. These are toys primarily for that age where they are too old for baby toys but too young for preschool toys–a hard age to keep busy.

There is also…a smallish ad on the front page. You may not have even noticed. It’s near the bottom because I still have reservations about the whole ads on blogs thing. There will not be more and I may not even keep that one.

So far a few of you have already taken note of the shop and bought some buddhist books through the store–thank you! I will be thinking of you over my next cup of Earl Grey.

And hey, did you know there’s a Digg just for girls now? It’s called sk*rt…check it out. I had some trouble registering, but I’m sure that will be fixed soon. I love the concept. I’m a regular on Digg, but the Y-chromosome centeredness of it is a bit of a turnoff sometimes. I just hope sk*rt doesn’t turn into non-stop entries on weight loss and clothing sales.
