I seem to have a summer early fall head cold or something, but while I’m feeling sorry for myself, I thought you’d like to know about a $99 HP computer, (yes, it even comes with a monitor). The offer is good from September 3rd to the 9th. For once you don’t have to sign your firstborn over to AOL or something like that, but the catch is that shipping is…$99. Still, $200 for a computer isn’t bad. Personally I wouldn’t buy this as my primary system, but it would probably make a good second computer for the kids to abuse (you know, instead of yours). I can tell you right now that you WILL need to bump up that pathetic 256 of RAM, though. It’s not clear if it comes with an operating system, but I think even Linux would be happier with more than that.
