Real Leaders Don’t Lie

I saw this today while grabbing some bread at Trader Joe’s. At first I was mystified and amused; there were no other messages on the car for context, so it took me a little while to figure out what this meant. Then this evening it hit me: the Howard Dean thing.

And then I thought, wow, how ironic! Because this whole time I thought it was more important that Real Leaders Don’t Lie! Like BIG LIES that get us dragged into a bloody war to make one’s business buddies happy and get something like almost 2,500 soldiers killed, over 18,000 wounded, and at least 38,000 Iraqi civilians killed! No! No, it is MUCH MORE IMPORTANT that our leaders do not scream.

I think I’m going to scream now.

*heh*

I was just talking with a friend about how us Californians are truly a rare breed. Weird.

** snicker **

Unless, of course, they are screaming things like “Un-American traitor!” because they were caught in a lie . . .
