State of the Bladder Address and Flickr News
The above photo is pretty illustrative of my mood lately. For some reason I haven’t been able to sleep more than five hours or so for the last couple of weeks. Wtf is wrong with me? If it’s not the girls getting me up to go pee at night, it’s me, unable to find the “off” switch on my brain. Maybe it’s the longer daylight and weather change (it finally stopped raining, hallelujah!)? Saige and I are also sharing a low-grade fever brought home from preschool…who knows what, if anything, it will turn into. Perhaps this will force me to go to bed early like I keep promising myself I will. I feel like I’ve been hit by a truck.
The good news is, at least my IC is no longer adding to the problem. The Elmiron is really kicking it’s ass. My God, I was even able to eat real Indian food while I was in Santa Barbara last week…a pleasure I haven’t had in at least six months. Bladder did notice what I had done about four hours later, but a couple of Uristats took care of it. Pre-Elmiron I would have been up for a truly hellacious night indeed.
I got an email today from the University of Maryland center that is doing research on IC, and they mentioned they are going to begin studying the connection between IC and other things…like panic attacks, anxiety, etc. I will very interested to see what they come up with. It’s obvious to me there is some kind of a connection, I just don’t know what.
Yawn. Anyway: if you haven’t logged into Flickr lately, you might have missed it’s new look. Nothing radical, but some significant cleanup and reorganization–personally, I love it. More photos, set thumbnails on the right instead of the left, and lots of other good stuff. Here is Flickerite Addict Extraordinaire Thomas Hawk’s review of the changes, and the official details are here.
Too tired for linky-love tonight, sorry.
