This Is Just a Test

The Republicans must be really proud. They managed to fuck up one of the last POSITIVE things about 2005, the holiday season. Now when somebody says “Merry Christmas,” you have to wonder…do they genuinely mean “Merry Christmas” or do they mean that kind of “Merry Christmas”…the kind that just DARES you to reply with the clearly communist “Happy Holidays”? I was reminded of this dilemma when a guy walking his dog at the park said this to me today. His tone was right on the borderline between enthusiastic-sincere and enthusiastic-preachy…I couldn’t quite tell if I was reading into it or not.

Seriously, are Repubs that bored? Oh wait…perhaps they are trying to take attention away from more pressing matters. Could that be it? Nah…

But I love how Jon Stewart is handling the whole BS “war on Christmas,” don’t you? Almost makes it worth it.

Reading this post makes me glad this year’s holiday season is over. If only I could say the same about the religious fanatics who are trying to impose their views on everyone else.
