Oh, for the seats-two thing, we got something like this

http://www.chariotsatp.co.uk/products/mb_terrain2.htm

- a 3-wheeler. Only we couldn't get it in the car.

Erm, I don't think they sell those here in the states; I've never seen them anywhere. Plus, well, buggies not built for two are useless to us :(

We didn't have twins, but we ended up buying a total of 7 seats for our two girls. It's always such a huge mistake to try to save money; and yet it's understandable you do, because who can afford all the crap you have to buy?

It's a similar story with buggies.

in the end, after 8 years or so, I can thoroughly recommend the Maxi Cosi brand, which you don't mention. We had a brilliant infant seat, which clicked into a buggy frame - and the buggy could later be converted with a regular seat. Then we had a brilliant 9 month - 4 years seat, which was comfortable, easy to move around, and easy to fit; and finally the Maxi Cosi booster is also brilliant and comfortable.
