Interesting question... and I think my answer might change based on the type of evacuation happening. But in the case of a hurricane/flood scenerio:

1) Wife
2) all 4 cats
3) My computer (just the tower with all my data--no monitors or external junk--so I could save my data/photos/music/etc)
4) waterproof/water resistant clothing and shelter
5) ...

This is where it gets tough. We have a number of sentimental paintings, sculptures, and objects around the house which I would love to take but would probably not be able to. I guess this is where I go into a tangent about why tattoos are a good investment--because in the case of something like this, you take all your unique artwork with you without any hassle. I am sure that the thousands I have spent on artwork for my home would be left behind, yet the thousands I have spent on body art would be right there with me through thick and thin.

cell phone, computer, bottled water, dog, husband, iPod, and books. Definitely books so I can escape reality and keep my sanity.

Pretty boring. I don't have a lot that holds much sentimental value.... yet.

Fam and pets, of course.
All the stuff from the camping shelves in the garage.
Photos and important docs. (and photos of stuff left behind for insurance proof)
Son's favorite toys for comfort & entertainment
Hard drives & cameras (small car, couldn't take all the geek toys)
Some clothes, snacks and water.

I'd take of course my husband, children, pets and personal papers/documents, along with pictures on CD that we have packed and ready to go if we could get to them. That's it. Everything else can be replaced.
