very pretty photos you have posted! and some wonderfully astute observations. I am going to send my family that link to the "scary" Republican message video. So so so funny (in the scariest way possible).

I'm glad to hear you have ANY Kerry*Edwards stickers/signs to look at in your neighborhood. Just a few miles back here the W signs outnumber the Kerry ones by a ratio I'm too uncomfortable to actually pin down. There are exactly 2 Kerry stickers on the cars of all the SUVs in the parking lot at the elementary school.

I've been increasingly nervous, but your entry settles me down some.

There's this one house near me that's quite run down, with peeling paint, many cars out front, and toys and tools strewn about the lawn...there's a W lawn sign and a rude 'kill Osama' bumper sticker on one of the rusty vehicles. I can't get over this type of Bush supporter! Newsflash: GWB doesn't care about you! You are what he would call lower middle class, and he will send your children to war! Although, he will keep your Wal-Mart merchandise and fast food at all-time low prices.

The only explanation I can think of to account for this huge fanbase is the fear of God factor. Keep your country terrified and believing you support the same fundamentalism.

Nice to see you back, and the site's looking GOOD!

Hello fellow sloinian... never saw your "old" website design, but I sure like this one... One of SLO's best! I just started a list of local slo blogs to eventually add to my Community pages at www.slopages.com. Let me know of any local blogs you frequent so I can add them along with yours.

I enjoyed your posts regarding your political views. It amazes me that I consider myself a conservative republican when I share all your "progressive" views, except regarding socialism. As a small-government republican, I find the federal government only capable of wasting my hard-earned income. I find that I am much more capable of helping those in need than the government is.

Don't worry though - I'm not voting for Bush next month, nor did I in 2000. Can't support his lack of fiscal responsibility, lack of respect for women's right to choose, lack of respect for gays, lack of respect for the environment, lack of respect for world opinion, lack of foresight regarding Iraq, an apparent lack of intelligence, or his complete support of special interests.

Well both of you just convinced me to actually USE the flickr account that I signed up for a couple weeks ago. Currently I use WordPress, Blogger, and a gallery (all three separate) but would love to be able to quickly share my photos.

If you ever feel like stopping by:

I'm with you on the Flickr thing. (Literally... I just found your site through your page there.) I'm not entirely sure why I'm so hooked on it, but it just does everything right. I never found much use for photo sites before, I preferred to host everything myself. But it's just so easy now to push a photo out of iPhoto into Flickr and not have to deal with making a gallery for it. And I love browsing through it to see what other people are doing. As you say, it rocks.
